Live Healthy Lynchburg has a special summer challenge designed for everyone from the marathoner to the first time couch-to-5K runner!  Our 100 Mile Challenge is designed to help you meet defined goals and to make activity a part of your weekly routine.We want to inspire you move your body, get healthy, and become a part of our active community!

100 Mile Challenge

 The challenge is to run or walk 100 miles between July 1 and September 26 …… that’s just slightly over 1 mile per day! It’s an exciting way to integrate exercise and fitness as part of an overall healthier lifestyle, and encourage and grow participation in the Virginia 4 Miler and 10 Miler races.

Participation  As an individual or as part of an organization. PLEASE look carefully at existing organizations to avoid duplication. You may create teams within your organization for more friendly competition!

Eligible miles:

  1. Miles run or walked outside of normal business activity.
  2. Eligible miles run/walked on a treadmill count. All other mechanical devices do NOT count!  So, no elliptical machines, bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller blades / skates. The only exception: miles logged on a treadmill are eligible miles.
